Camp Philips, Bukidnon
I wasn't expecting that I can visit this place which I am too far from with this place. But because I was invited by a special friend to go in her place, so I grab it without any hesitation. I know it will be a great adventure for me, and kinda moving on stage also. :)
Why it named Camp?
It was colonized by a foreign where colonizers who used to hire slaves to work in plantations – in the US and in Africa. They put up housing base camps for workers and called them simply as camps.
How to get there?
Originally from Cebu, so I traveled via Plane to Cagayan De oro City( Lumbia airport), from the airport I took a taxi cab going to the city and after took a van going to camp Philips around 1 hour travel.
The people was so hospitable, it is really the best attitude of the Filipinos wherever you are, either your foreigner nor local. In this experience I have been, was so very relaxing, fresh air, new people, new ambiance in which you can feel the essence of the good people and good family. Simple living in this place was really appreciated. They rely only in the plantation and most of all people here was a worker of the plantation, with free houses!
